Community
Each year, Pride Football Australia works alongside community and other organisations to provide support to the LGBTQ+ and wider community and continue to advocate on LGBTQ+ health and social issues.

We are proud to support a wide range of activities and causes in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the broader Australian community.
An overview of some of our community partnerships and other initiatives is below.
#RainbowLaces
Pride Football Australia supports the rainbow laces campaign, which seeks to raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ prejudice in sport.

In 2017, players from the Sydney Rangers Football Club and The Flying Bats Women's Football Club joined Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory for a short on-field ceremony prior to kick-off of the A-League game.

This campaign continues to help tackle discrimination in sport and improve the visibility of LGBTQIA+ issues in the Australian community.
Western Sydney Pride
Pride Football Australia has actively supported the Western Sydney Pride in 2017 and 2018.

From community stalls at the Parramatta Pride Picnic to hosting the Western Sydney Pride Tournament, we continue to raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues within the greater Sydney region and broader Australian community.

Pride Football Australia will continue to explore opportunities to connect with other LGBTQIA+ friendly organisations and support LGBTQIA+ events across Australia.
PFA Clubs
Pride Football Australia was founded by the Melbourne Rovers Soccer Club, the Sydney Rangers Football Club and The Flying Bats Women's Football Club, with Brisbane Inferno joining in 2021.

We continue to support and work with our founding clubs to ensure that each club continues to thrive in the LGBTQIA+ and local community.

We also seek to ensure that our founding members establish and maintain last connections with other LGBTQIA+ organisations in their respective locations.
Annual PFA Tournament
Pride Football Australia is the team behind the annual PFA Tournament, the marquee LGBTQ+ football tournament in Australia.
The clubs of Pride Football Australia compete at the PFA Tournament for the Julie Murray Cup, the Justin Fashanu Cup, and the Josh Cavallo Shield.

In 2024, the 14th PFA Tournament was held in Sydney.
